Brantwood Farms Fall Festival

Brantwood Farms, 251 Powerline Rd., Brantford

Weekends in September and October

11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Admission: Free, but activities cost anywhere from 1 to 4 tickets a piece. Tickets cost 5 for $10, 11 for $20, 28 for $50 or 60 for $100

Every Saturday and Sunday for the month of September and October, you can enjoy fun for the whole family with a variety of activities to try. Experience a corn maze, haunted barn, obstacle course, corn pit, pumpkin bowling, needle-in-the-haystack, pumpkin hop, pedal go-karts, and much more in addition to tasty food and treats. New this year is the 'giant jumping pillow.'

Kick off your Halloween celebrations early with the City of Brantford’s annual event in Harmony Square. Watch as the square transforms into a spooktacular space filled with frightfully fun events, including: face painting, crafts, haunted hayrides, amusement rides, slime station, costume contests, paranormal ghost hunts, and much more. New this year is the Incredible House of Horrors brought to you by Fright Club. For $5 you can take the Haunted Bus from Harmony Square down the winding lanes of Mohawk Park to the Haunted Pavilion.

Historical Graveyard Tour

Her Majesty’s Royal Chapel of the Mohawks National Historic Site, 301 Mohawk St., Brantford

Admission: $10.00

Enjoy a night touring Mohawk Chapel’s graveyard learning local history from local legends. Built in 1785, the graveyard contains tombstones ranging from the early 1800s to the early 1900s. This is not a graveyard tour with costumes or characters dressed up. This is a historical event for background history and viewing.

Royal Commemoration Day

Visit the Mohawk Chapel for a very special event commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Prince of Wales visit to the Chapel. This special event will be joined with the Consecration of the Chapel and the annual Thanksgiving Service. The historic event is open to the public, with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. and the service beginning promptly at 2:00 p.m.

All Downey is the author of The Creator's Game - the history of lacrosse. In this lecture he describes how the game was used by Indigenous people to resist the residential school experiences and displayer their sovereignty.

Performances take place at 1:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. at each location and you choose your starting locations.

The Woodland Cultural Centre Eudcation staff will give the Residential School presentation, providing insight on the history of the Mohawk Institute and residential schools across Canada, as well as a glimpse inside the day to day life of a child at the "Mush Hole." Afterwards, listen to Survivors share their stories and engage with participants in a Q&A. This event requires pre-registration with a maximum of 90 guests.

Halloween Haunt

Visit the Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant, in partnership with R&J Theatrics, for an interactive look at the documented hauntings of Glenhyrst, and the ghostly history that binds the past to our present. Take a lantern lit walk through the grounds and buildings and watch as live performances play out past events, like living memories, as you explore the ghosts of Glenhyrst and the glory of this grand estate.
