Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town!

Grab your hot chocolate and blankets and get ready for the 45th Annual JCI Santa Claus Parade! On November 30th, 2019 come cheer on Santa and his helpers as they march down the streets of Downtown Brantford.

The festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. at the corner of Dalhousie and Stanley St. and the parade will make its way down Dalhousie greeting the people of Brantford and finishing up at Harmony Square for the after party. Watch as marching bands, handmade floats and fun characters march downtown with this years theme “Santa’s Workshop.” As always, parade participants are judged in the following categories:

●      Best Overall Entry

●      Most Enthusiastic

●      Best Elementary School

●      Best High or Post Secondary School

●      Best Theme

●      Most Original Float

●      Best Service Club/Church

Have an idea for a float? You can register on the JCI Brantford Santa Claus Parade website for a commercial float or non profit float. Every entry is able to be judged and you could even win a prize! It’s a great opportunity for local businesses and community groups to showcase their products or services, while boasting community pride and festive spirit.

After the parade, be sure to stick around and watch as Santa makes his way into Harmony Square to kick off the after party. Don’t forget to get a few photos of your kids with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Feel free to participate in the Salvation Army kettle kick-off toy drive, get your face painted, enjoy some tasty treats and enjoy free ice skating (weather permitting)! Be sure to watch the Christmas tree lighting Ceremony and sing along with some beloved Christmas Carols. Both of these events are FREE.
