Celebrate World Nutella Day at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre!

On Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. we invite you to join us at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre as we join other communities and groups around the world in celebration of World Nutella® Day! 

Visitors can enjoy a ton of free fun family events and entertainment such as PAW PATROL meet and greet, free pancakes with Nutella®, product giveaways, a free public skate and swim, a draw for a Nutella® gift bag, Cupcake Corner sponsored by Sweet Bakery, Nutty photo booth, face painting, showing the new release movie Abominable and more, all generously sponsored by Ferrero® in partnership with the City of Brantford. We will be selling I love Nutella® t-shirts with 100% of the proceeds being donated to a local charity to be named at a later date. 

Activities

Activities will take place in the main lobby, gymnasium, 2nd floor fitness studio, pools and arena. View a full list of what's happening below.

  • 5:00 p.m. welcome greetings in the main lobby
  • 5:00 p.m. free Nutella® pancakes while supplies last in the second floor fitness studio
  • 5:00 p.m. I love Nutella® t-shirts for sale $10.00 each with 100% of the proceeds going to a local charity while supplies last
  • 5:00 p.m. cupcake corner sponsored by Sweet Bakery in the main lobby while supplies last
  • 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. free public skate on rink number four
  • 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. face painting in the main lobby
  • 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. meet and greet PAW PATROL Chase and Skye
  • 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. nutty photo booth with free photo keepsakes 
  • 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. free movie featuring the new release Abominable in the gymnasium
  • 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. free public swim, all pools open including water slide and aquatic climbing wall 

Volunteers 

We're currently looking for volunteers to assist with the World Nutella® Day celebrations on February 5 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm. Those that would like to volunteer can send an email to wgsc@brantford.ca to receive a form that must be completed and returned to the Wayne Gretzky Sports Center either in person, via email or by fax to 519-752-7222. Ages 16 and over are preferred and high school community services hours would apply.
