March Break is just around the corner and Brantford has tons of camps available for all ages, abilities and price ranges. From art camps at Glenhyrst and drop-in paint sessions at Crock a Doodle to video games and sports camps and so much more offered through the City of Brantford, your child will be entertained and in good hands from March 16 to 20, 2020.

Ages: 4 to 12

Let your imagination run wild at Glenhyrst March Break Camp. From knights and fairies to the metamorphosis found in so many children’s tales. We spend the week telling stories, learning about art forms and creating new characters. This week will be full of exploring, imagining and dreaming and a whole lot of art too.

Thursday, March 19 – Disney Studio

Friday, March 20 – Fantasy Friday

A typical camp day at Glenhyrst includes: the completion of three art projects per day, all related to the theme, a balanced day format for meals and snacks, and two recreational periods, for campers to enjoy the great outdoors surrounding Glenhyrst with organized play and games (weather permitting).

Looking for something fun and colourful to do for your kids during March Break? Drop them off at Crock a Doodle for 2 hours of fun! Your child will paint a themed pottery piece, but they will also play themed games, eat pizza and have a blast socializing with new friends. Pre-registration required.

Is your little one complaining that their big brothers and sisters are off to camp and they have to stay home? We have a ton of fun activities to keep them entertained! Your child must be toilet-trained. Free extended care available 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Trip on Wednesday to be determined.

 

Branlyn March Break Camp

Branlyn Community Centre

Age: 4 to 11

March Break camp is back at Branlyn! Offering games, sports, special events and more! Campers will experience all the fun that a super day camp has to offer. Trip to be determined. Free extended care available 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

 

Bell Homestead March Break Drop-in

Bell Homestead National Historic Site

Age 5 to 11

Drop by for some fun activities. No registration is needed. Cost includes a tour of the Bell Homestead. Parents are free but most tour with their child.

March Break Aquatic Camp

Age: 6 to 12

Join us for a swim, fun gymnasium games, make a craft and have lots of fun! Free extended care available 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please ensure that all Day Camp forms are filled out before the camp. Drop-off and pick-up is in the gymnasium each day.

 

School Break Family Skates

March 16 to 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Join us for a family skate over the break. Helmets strongly recommended.

 

School Break Family Swims

March 16 to 20 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (public) and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. (Family & Length Swims)

 

Gamer March Break Camp

Age: 9 to 14

A happy camper is a camper who gets to play all day and that’s what we’ll do at our camp. It’s all about a healthy balance of video game play, creative exercise, team building activities and creative projects to develop social skills, fitness and problem solving. Free extended care available 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

 

Cooking and Crafts March Break Camp

T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre

Age: 9 to 14

We invite you to join us as we bake and create art projects in this two for one program. You will need to bring some ingredients with you. Free extended care available 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

 

Youth Leadership Development Level 1

Woodman Park Community Centre

Age: 13 to 16

This is a leader-in-training program. You will receive in-class training on leadership skills, communications, program planning, team building and more. You will also complete a 30-hour volunteer placement to show off your skills.
