Brantford Featured in Great Taste of Ontario

The Great Taste of Ontario has launched its first season of passports and itineraries, and Brantford is featured as one of the best spots in the province to dine and explore! Learn about trip ideas and local stories to fall in love with Ontario again and again.

Each season, you can download one of over 80 passports (we recommend the Brantford one, of course!) to help guide your planning. When you’re ready, take the time to safely visit our growers and makers who make Ontario so special. Each time you check in at the passport locations, you’ll be closer to redeeming a prize offered by the Culinary Tourism Alliance.

This season’s Brantford passport features museums, restaurants, shopping experiences, an indulgent escape, and two hotels to choose from to extend your stay. Visit the Bell Homestead National Historic Site to learn about Alexander Graham Bell and the invention of the telephone, or Her Majesty’s Royal Chapel of the Mohawks – the oldest surviving church in Upper Canada. Getting hungry? There are amazing dining choices in Brantford, including Fume Restobar, Mercasa Little Italy Eatery & Catering, and Spool – Gourmet Poutine & Mac ‘n Cheese.

If you’re a true foodie, you love shopping for food items too! We have lots of great attractions here in town where you’ll want to stock up and bring home items for yourself and to drop off to friends and family as gifts. Don’t miss the handmade chocolates at Le Chocolat du Savoie, artisanal olive oils and vinegars at The Olive Oil Co., and an incredible variety of coffee at Serenity Country Candles. If you’re looking for food fresh from the makers, try Brantwood Farms, Brantford Farmers’ Market, or Strodes BBQ & Deli.

After spending some time in town, relax at Grand Wellness before settling in for the night at either Days Inn by Wyndham Brantford, or Marriott Towneplace Suites Brantford and Conference Centre.

We can’t wait to see you in Brantford and show you the incredible, ever-growing culinary tourism scene in our big city with a small town feel.

Please remember that when you’re visiting Brantford, or any other community that isn’t home, plan ahead and make reservations whenever and wherever possible. Keep your distance from those outside your bubble, wear a mask, and wash your hands often. It’s hard work to keep these attractions safe for locals and visitors, so please be patient and kind when you visit.
