Chas Nolson is the Brant News TCO Community Champion for September 18, 2014
Chas is a Grade 11 student at Paris District High School. He is a gifted well-rounded athlete who has competed at hockey, baseball, basketball and soccer from the age of three. In June Chas earned a bronze medallion in swimming. He is currently working toward his Waterfront Skills Instructor certification in canoeing.
Last year Chas competed in many school sports, including soccer, volleyball and basketball. The senior boys’ volleyball team won the Brant County championship while the varsity soccer team earned a trip to CWOSSA. This fall Chas will also be playing football, all while maintaining an honour roll average. Chas also served on a leadership team at PDHS.
Currently Chas is working out with a personal trainer, Jeff Kehler, who is helping him improve his foot speed, vertical jump and core strength to help him achieve his goals in sports. Chas hopes his future will hold a scholarship to university where he wants to study to be a firefighter. He spent the last three summers coaching kids at a local Multi-Sport Sports Camp. Chas also hopes to continue to inspire and coach children to achieve the best they can in their given sports.
