The Grandstand Show includes the RCMP Musical Ride showing 32 Horses. Parmalee in concert with Petric at the concert series, as well as the Demolition derby, Baby Show and many vendors.

Opening the Doors to Dialogue Exhibition
Friday, September 2 to Friday, December 16, 2016
Woodland Cultural Centre, Mohawk St., Brantford
Opening Reception September 2 at 7:00 p.m. 

An arts-based reconciliation and healing project has a bold goal: To bring together community members to open the dialogue surrounding Indian residential schools. Opening the Doors to Dialogue is a project led by Cayuga artist Samuel Thomas in partnership with Paula Whitlow of the Woodland Cultural Centre. The collaborative works will bring the native and non-native community together to do beadwork on doors that have been salvaged from former residential schools.

Worker’s Heritage Walking Tour
Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
Brantford District Labour Centre, 1100 Clarence St S, Brantford,
Admission is free for BHS members and $5.00 for non-members. 

Learn about the labour movement and how Brantford workers contributed to building our community. The walk will start at the Brantford District Labour Centre Building. Walks are generally 75-90 minutes in length. You'll recognize your guide by his historical hats or heritage attire.

8th Annual Brant Waterways Hike, Run, Ride for the River and Trails

Brant Park Conservation Area 119 Jennings Rd.

Bring the whole family out and help celebrate our world class trail system and the beautiful scenery of the Grand River watershed. Funds raised from this event go towards the completion of community based projects which aim to preserve, protect, restore, and improve the Grand River, its related water bodies and adjacent lands in Brantford, the County of Brant and Six Nations.

9th Annual Brantford International Jazz Festival
Friday, September 16 to Sunday, September 18, 2016
Harmony Square, Downtown Brantford
Free Admission 

The festival is an opportunity to explore and appreciate the diverse forms of jazz, from its early roots in the Ragtime era, to big band swing, to 1940s bebop, to Afro-Cuban jazz. The Saturday night concert at the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts is a popular event, and this year’s headliner is one of Canada’s most beloved male vocalists Matt Dusk.

Brantford Kinsmen 43rd Annual Car Show and Swap Meet

The Kinsmen Club of Brantford holds their annual Car Show and Swap Meet in order to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis and other community causes. Exhibitors from across the province travel to display their “babies” in this vintage car show. BBQ, Refreshments and venders.
