The Guitar Society Of Brantford Presents The Henderson-Kolk Guitar Duo

Tastes of the Season

The Taste of the Season is an opportunity for community to prepare for the season with fresh baked goods, specialty items like candy, pies, etc. Giizhigat Maple Syrup Products (First Nations Owned & Operated), bake tables and a caterer selling lunch for visitors.

Six Nations Holiday Craft Tour

J.C. Hill School, 1613 Chiefswood Rd., Ohsweken
Mohawk Chapel with their Taste of the Season event at 301 Mohawk St.,10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m 

Celebrate the season while learning more about the rich history and culture of the people of the Six Nations. Diverse items change every year but you can expect items such as expertly prepared baked goods and preserves, Giizhigat Maple Syrup Products (First Nations Owned & Operated), hand-made and local crafts, wooden carvings and leatherwork, handmade jewelry, and remarkable art.

25th Annual Christmas in Paris

Cost: Only $2.00 for admission into all locations. 

Kindred Spirits has become a presence in most artistic endeavours in Paris, they are also active in the community in many other ways. One of these ways is the Annual Christmas in Paris Event showcasing artists and their work from all over Paris. The mandate of Kindred Spirits is to encourage and support the creative arts in the town of Paris. Proceeds from this weekend's admission go to further the arts in Paris, provide bursaries to high school graduates pursuing a degree in the arts and sponsor awards for artists exhibiting at the Paris Fair.

The Life of Yannick Bisson

Yannick Bisson is a Canadian film and television actor and director best known to international audiences for playing Detective William Murdoch on the series Murdoch Mysteries. Born in Montreal, Quebec and moving to Toronto, Ontario as a teenager, Yannick began his acting career while still in highschool. Now age 47, Yannick comes to the Sanderson Centre to talk about his long road to success.

Robert Hall Originals celebrates the season this year with a “12 Days of Christmas Theme” where visitors can peruse the 2600 ft showroom for gift ideas. Robert Hall Originals is Ontario’s largest Pewter Studio, Rock shop & Jewelry showroom and this year they are providing a Gingerbread House display where visitors can drop off food items for the Brantford food bank and toys for the Christmas baskets program.

Ichthys Theatre Presents Much Ado About Nothing

Ichthys Theatre Productions is a Brantford based community theatre that is in its 16th year, having performed over 35 productions for both the community and schools. Much Ado About Nothing is generally considered one of William Shakespeare's best comedies, because it combines elements of robust hilarity with more serious meditations on honour, shame, and court politics. Much Ado About Nothing is a comedic play by Shakespeare thought to have been written in 1598 and 1599, as he was approaching the middle of his career.

The Homestead’s Annual Holiday Bake Sale and Tea

Bell Homestead National Historic Site, 94 Tutela Heights Rd., Brantford 

The Exchange Café and volunteers offer an array of homemade cookies, pies, cakes, and squares at the Homestead’s annual Holiday Bake Sale and Tea. This is definitely a stop for unique stocking stuffers or gifts, crafts, jewelry, children’s toys and books, and vintage china and quilts at "The Phone Booth" museum store as well. While there, enjoy a delightful cup of tea along with samples of the baked items for sale.  All proceeds benefit the Homestead's special events and programs.

The Annual Brantford Lights at Glenhyrst kicks off at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th, 2016 and promises to illuminate the season again this year with a spectacular light display. Hot Chocolate and treats available to purchase Thursday to Sunday, Santa every Thursday from December 1 to 22, and Furry Fridays with the Brantford SPCA. Food donations will be collected for the Brantford Food Bank and the Salvation Army Food Bank.
