Downtown Paris, deservedly nicknamed the “Prettiest Town in Ontario,” once again welcomes thousands as the Paris Lions Club hosts the annual Maple Syrup Festival on April 8, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This signature event has come a long way since its inaugural event in 2012. Over the years, the event has grown into a spring tradition for many and draws thousands of visitors from as far as London, Guelph, Hamilton and beyond.
This year, the event will be located on the main street of Paris between William and Mechanic Street. There will be no vehicle traffic during this closure to make room for a wonderful variety of local businesses to showcase and sell their many maple candy syrup products, crafts, merchandise, entertainment and food. In addition to the vendors, Paris has a picturesque downtown with fantastic shopping and dining experiences just steps from the Grand River.
There will be lots of family friendly activities and entertainment, as well as food service including pancakes with maple syrup, sausage, and hot or cold beverages. Don't forget to check out the wood-carving and/or maple candy making demonstrations! Parking will be available off Broadway street, along Mechanic, Broadway and West River Streets in designated areas.
The Paris Lions Club is a volunteer not-for-profit service club. Money raised goes right back into the Paris community to support local projects including the continued improvements to Paris Lions Park.
