“Tunes in the Park” is coming back! Held in the scenic Victoria Park in downtown Brantford every Friday afternoon, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. June 30 through September 2, 2017, enjoy a mix of folk, gospel and light rock music. “Tunes in the Park” has become a highly anticipated weekly summer event in Brantford for locals to bring their lunch and lawn chairs to and enjoy an outdoor free concert.
Enjoy great performances hosted by The Brantford Musician Association, with music ranging from symphony players and single violinists to harpists and bands that perform popular music. The BMA has been promoting and protecting professional musicians for 110 years and the organization represents many of the finest professional musicians in Brantford and the surrounding area.
“Tunes in the Park” offers audiences a bit of everything, so get out there and enjoy some free music! This summer’s lineup is as follows:
June 30 Bob a’Luey – a fun, upbeat folk rock duo with Luanne Ashe and Bob Boisclair
July 7 The Pianoman – The piano playing, singing DJ Mike Stoneman entertains with classic hits
July 14 Jericho – Eric Bower and Jeremiah entertain with favorite songs from “roots to rock”
July 21 Mo & Garry Duo – Mo Vint & Garry Munn entertain with Rockin’ hits from the 50’s &60’s mixed with some blues
July 28 Joe Poirier – an energetic & enthusiastic blend of country, rock, jazz & blues
August 4 Two For The Road – Bill Koluk & Mike Thorpe have you grooving to rock and roll (50’s and 60’s), country, R&B, blues and 70’s classic rock
August 11 Ray Wreaks – sing along to the old classics with Ray
August 18 (tentative) Don Dunham – singer, guitarist, comedian and entertainment
August 25 Bob’d Wire – Bob Reading and his band has you tapping your toes to traditional country and honky tonk.
September 1 Crystal Creek – Ken Johnson & Paul Newell wrap up our summer concerts with a country show sprinkled with some rock, blues and lots of tunes to get up and dance to.
