Where Friends Meet: The 159th Annual Paris Fair

August 31 to September 4, 2017

Paris, Ontario, nicknamed “The Prettiest Little Town in Canada,” is well-known for their five-day fair held every year over Labour Day weekend. Since 1858, this annual fair brings people together to celebrate rural life through grandstand entertainment, agricultural displays, craft exhibits, livestock shows, midway rides and more!

A jewel in the crown of Ontario Fairs, the Paris Fair welcomes over 80,000 visitors each year to the historic Paris Fairgrounds. The grounds are set on 117 acres with six event buildings and the sprawling Paris Fair displays over 12,000 exhibitions from jams and quilts to horse shoes and photography.

With over 45 carnival rides and countless midway games, Campbell Amusements has been providing world-class entertainment at The Paris Fair for over 45 years. Returning this year are classic rides such as the Ferris Wheel, Cliff Hanger, The Zipper, Scrambler, and lots more. Visit the Fair on Wednesday, August 30 and Thursday, August 31 and pay only a toonie per ride.

In case your senses have not yet been overstimulated by the countless rides and games available in the amusement park, visit the grandstand to witness Canada’s #1 Demolition Derby at The Paris Fair. Be a part of the largest crowd in Southern Ontario as cars drive, crash and smash into each other on an open dirt track.

This year, in celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday, The Paris Fair welcomes extra special musical guests, James Barker Band, on Sunday evening for a live performance at 8:00 p.m. This show-stopping country concert is included with your Sunday admission fee. Winners of the 2015 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase, James Barker Band has played in front of country music’s biggest fans and alongside country music headliners Thomas Rhett and Dean Brody. Their first single, “Lawn Chair Lazy,” is bound to be a crowd-pleaser at the Fair.

A signature experience for Brantford and County of Brant residents and surrounding communities, The Paris Fair is “where friends meet.” Don’t miss out on five days of action-packed fun and endless laughs!
