Look out, gymnasts—Brantford has a new club in town! Reach Gymnastics Club is a new, local gymnastics facility for kids and teens ages two to eighteen-years-old. The club offers your child creative and innovative gymnastics programming to meet their goals and to provide a fun outlet for their energy.
Gymnasts of all skill and experience levels are welcome as small class sizes enable coaches to target everyone’s unique needs, goals and abilities. While the company’s focus is on gymnastics, where members will develop strength, flexibility, coordination and balance, a variety of other programs are offered, including: private lessons, birthday parties, summer camps, tumbling training for dancers, and dryland conditioning for other sports teams.
Chauntelle Balicki, Owner and Head Coach of Reach, has been involved in the sport of gymnastics for over 20 years. She trained and competed as a competitive gymnast for 10 years, and in her later years of training began to teach. Chauntelle has been coaching recreational and competitive gymnastics for the last 12 years. Balicki adds, “I have loved gymnastics for as long as I can remember. My love of the sport developed into a passion for teaching the sport to others.” While earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Guelph and later earning her Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma at Georgian College, Chauntelle was coaching gymnastics and tumbling in various clubs and studios throughout Southern Ontario. The combination of her education and extensive experience in the gymnastics world allows Reach Gymnastics Club to offer the best recreational gymnastics program in the area. Balicki says, “I have always enjoyed working with children and helping them to accomplish new skills, so when I started coaching I had the best of both worlds.” Chauntelle is a very accomplished gymnast who’s “still got it,” leaving her students in awe. Chauntelle is a passionate, warm, friendly person and that translates well into her instructing, leaving her students feeling comfortable and inspired.
