 Bell Summer Theatre Festival

On the 10th Anniversary season, the Brant Theatre Workshops will be bringing the Bell Summer Theatre Festival to audiences once again. The theatre space is on the grounds of the Bell Homestead National Historic Site and admission to all performances is on a pay-what-you-can basis. This year the plays offered include: Snow White and Not the Usual Dwarves, Merchant of Venice, and Walk in my Moc’s.

Special Olympics Truck Convoy

Paris Fairgrounds, 139 Silver St., Paris

Admission: $100 Registration Fee per truck

This is a unique one-day event where Law Enforcement makes special dispensation and escorts a convoy of trucks through parts of Southern Ontario to raise much needed funds and awareness for the Special Olympics. Participants will meet at Paris Fairgrounds and are then escorted in a convoy on a pre-determined route, then back to the fairgrounds where they are welcomed by the local Special Olympics community.  A celebration will follow that includes lunch, an awards ceremony, prize draws, family entertainment and much more!

Personal Computer Museum Open House

The Personal Computer Museum is the first of its kind in Brantford and unique in all of Southwestern Ontario.  The open house offers visitors a chance to explore over 100 working computers that have all been set up to use as they were when they were in actual service.  Come and see some of the new items including the very rare Philips CD-i video game console, and the KIM-1 computer - one of the first personal computers ever made!  We welcome you to come explore during our open house!

The Terry Fox Run is a non-competitive event where people get together as individuals, families, and groups to raise money for cancer research in Terry's name. It is a day of celebrating Terry's legacy and helping to keep alive his dream of finding a cure for cancer. Come in mingle with other guests in a casual setting while being treated to delicious wine and beer tastings paired with an array of hors d'oeuvres, pizza, desserts, etc. The evening's entertainment will feature Darren Boudreau, a local musician, who specializes in live acoustics, in addition to games and a live auction featuring fantastic prizes. This event is in support of the Brant Family and Children's Services Foundation and the funds are primarily used for their education programs, camp programs, and special projects, which are established yearly from a need from the agency.
