The Paris Port Dover Pipe Band has been impressing audiences at local, national, and international parades, concerts, festivals, ceremonies, tattoos and competitions since 2000.
The band currently consists of three bands of varying skill levels that compete internationally as well as local events throughout the year. Members of the Paris Port Dover Pipe Band range in ability from beginner to advanced, but one thing that they all share is a passion for Scottish culture and music. They are proud ambassadors of Canada, the Province of Ontario, Brant County, and Norfolk County, and have a strong reputation for excellence locally, nationally, and internationally.
In 2005, members formed their first competitive band, and became North American Champions. They have performed all over the world, including in France, Greece, Scotland, and Switzerland. One of the Band’s most memorable performances were with the legendary Sir Paul McCartney, when they were asked to perform on stage with him in August 2010. McCartney was so impressed with their performance in 2010 that he personally requested their band to perform with him onstage in October 2015.
