Visit Harmony Square in downtown Brantford on Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7, 2017 for Scare in the Square. This fun two-day event starts at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and includes: hayrides, ghost hunting, haunted house, photo booth, costume contest, dog costume contest, live music, crafts for kids, zombie walk, and more! Get your spook on at the Halloween Haunt on Friday, October 27, 2017 between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and examine the dark side of Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant. S.N.I.P.E. (Six Nations Investigating Paranormal Encounters) will lead a tour of the gallery, as they recount stories and unveil evidence of paranormal activity at Glenhyrst. The data, footage and stories will be collected first-hand from the S.N.I.P.E. team over several evenings at the Gallery, prior to the event.
Bell Homestead National Historic Site’s annual Halloween Fun Fair will be held Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This family-friendly outdoor event will catch the attention of the most excited trick-or-treaters. Come in costume or just as you are and try your hand at fun and challenging Halloween fair games, including Mummy Bowling, Quidditch Croquet, and Three Coins in the Potion just to name a few. The Homestead’s resident fortune-teller will look deep into her crystal ball to tell you what your future has in store. Take a pony and wagon ride around the Homestead’s beautiful grounds, and let a face painter transform you into a character of your choice! Admission is free, but bring loose change for the games.
