Business Profile: The Bent King

The Bent King, established in April of 2017 in Brantford, is the city’s premier board game café and wine lounge. Located just north of the city’s vibrant downtown core, The Bent King offers delicious food, a jaw-dropping collection of games and exciting weekly events to get your competitive juices flowing.

Open seven days a week, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., The Bent King at 156 Market Street is the place to be for Laurier Students and adults looking to enjoy some good food and fun in a friendly and unique atmosphere.

With over 400 board games in their collection, there’s something for everyone at The Bent King! Strategize with friends over a quest for world domination in Risk, invest your money in all the right or wrong properties in Monopoly, settle the score in your squad by testing each other in a battle of whip and wit in Trivial Pursuit or Wits & Wagers, or roll the dice and play a game you’ve never heard of before. We guarantee it’ll be fun.

The menu boasts a selection of sandwiches and baked goods, from jam-packed quesadillas to cheesy garlic bread and homemade crème brûlée. They also offer fountain drinks, loose-leaf teas (with local, unpasteurized honey!), and fresh roast coffee from Balzac’s in Ancaster Ontario.

Visit The Bent King Facebook Page @thebentkingbrantford to keep up-to-date with the café’s always growing inventory of games, in addition to events and other community happenings. The Bent King hosts magic tournaments, trivia nights, table-top war gaming tournaments, dungeons and dragons campaigns, and much more. We aren’t playing around when we say this place is as fun as it sounds.
