Have you ever loved something so much you thought it deserved a holiday? Have you been known to eat your favourite chocolate-hazelnut spread straight from the jar with a spoon? Then you’ll love World Nutella® Day in Brantford!
In 2007, an American blogger named Sara Rosso loved Nutella® so much that she founded World Nutella® Day on February 5, 2017. Fans from around the world came together to celebrate their love of the delicious spread – made right here in Brantford by Ferrero. In 2015, the event became such a success that Rosso transferred it to Ferrero so that it could continue to grow globally.
Brantford is the best place in the world to celebrate World Nutella® Day! On Monday, February 5, 2018, everyone is invited to gather at Harmony Square and the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts to celebrate.
The activities begin at 4:30pm at Harmony Square, where you can enjoy a free ice-skating party with a live DJ; make your own Nutella® S’mores over the campfire and enjoy a Nutella® hot chocolate (while supplies last). After your snack, you can meet Chase and Skye from PAW Patrol, plus ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks.
Join us at the Sanderson Centre for more fun starting at 6:30 p.m. Get your free tickets for the 7:00 p.m. screening of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip by showing us what Nutella® means to you. All you have to do to get your free tickets is submit a photo eating Nutella®, OR a maximum 50 word paragraph of your favourite Nutella® memory with family or friends. We will show the submissions during the opening ceremonies and maybe even social media, so be creative! Once your submission is approved, you will receive an email confirmation that your tickets can be mailed to you or picked up. The top five (5) judged entries will have the opportunity to participate in an obstacle race on stage with ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks!
The last day to submit and receive your free ticket in the mail is January 15, 2018; after that date you will be required to pick up their tickets at the main office (1 Sherwood Drive, Brantford). Contact 519-756-1500 ext. 5523 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions or haven't received your tickets yet.
