World Nutella Day

Have you ever loved something so much you thought it deserved a holiday?  On Monday, February 5, everyone is invited to gather at Harmony Square and the Sanderson Centre to celebrate World Nutella® Day!  There will be free ice-skating, Nutella® S’mores, Nutella® hot chocolate, Chase and Skye from PAW Patrol, plus ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks.  The evening will be capped off with a 7:00 p.m. screening of ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip’ at the Sanderson Centre.

This show was the winner of the coveted ‘Just for Laughs’ best comedy award.  Please note this show is suggested for a mature audience.

Frosty Fest has a reputation as one of the largest winter carnivals in Ontario, and is held on Family Day weekend every year in Harmony Square in downtown Brantford. This year marks the 9th annual festival, and surely won’t disappoint! Activities will include: a midway, ice carving, snow slide, horse drawn trolley and pony rides, and fun winter food like funnel cakes, poutine and snow taffy!  A new exciting addition this year will be an indoor Superhero & Princess Party, and as per tradition, there will be a pancake breakfast on the Monday!

Gary Barwin is a writer, composer, multidisciplinary artist, and the author of 21 books of poetry, fiction and books for children.  His writing has been published in hundreds of magazines and journals, and his music, media works and visuals have been presented and broadcasted internationally. Barwin is the current Writer-in-Residence at McMaster University.  He is scheduled to speak at 7:30 p.m., with a signing to follow.  Your admission to this event includes a complimentary glass of wine and light refreshments.

She is a four time Grammy-winner and a member the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, has recorded 15 albums, and has charted 21 top 40 country singles, 11 of which reached number one.
