The Personal Computer Museum (13 Alma Street, Brantford) is offering free internet safety seminars this month. Although the seminars are designed for those new to Canada, they are open to anyone to attend.
“Technology is an integral part of everyday life in Canada,” says PC Museum’s Curator, Syd Bolton, “When English is not your first language, it can be easy to be fooled by phishing emails and other tricks that criminals use to get your personal information.”
The seminar will be offered four times: March 20 and 28 at 7pm, and March 22 and 29 at 1pm. Each seminar is approximately 2 hours long, and includes some multicultural refreshments.
These seminars are made possible through support by the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration.
Register for the seminar online by clicking this link, or by calling the PC Museum at 226-227-5898.
