Paranormal Paddling in Six Nations

Paranormal Paddling in Six Nations

Back by popular demand, the Whisper to the Moon experience offers paddlers of all skills levels a paranormal trip down the Grand River. Enjoy spooky ghost stories and legends of the Six Nations Territory as local guides lead you by raft through a truly unique paranormal experience.

Paddlers will be shuttled from Chiefswood National Historic Site in Ohsweken – the 1857 mansion and childhood home of Mohawk Poetess, Pauline Johnson – to the raft entry. Paddle back to the mansion where you will learn about the paranormal evidence gathered by Six Nations Investigating Paranormal Encounters (SNIPE) at the home. You’ll then take a lantern-lit tour through the house, where guides will point out exactly where in they  caught the evidence, and will take you through a EVP session where they will use “live response” technology in hopes to make contact with the other worldly inhabitants of the home.

The cost per participant is $99, which includes the rafting trip and paranormal tour. Paddle dates are May 26, June 9 & 23, August 4 & 25, September 8 & 22.

Can’t make the tour dates? There are also private bookings available (minimum 8 people, maximum 16 people), too.

If paddling isn’t for you, but you still want to participate, the Whisper to the Moon series also features evidence-only tours at Chiefswood on October 13, 20 & 27 – just in time for Halloween! Tickets for the evidence tour only are $50 per person.

To book your experience, contact Chiefswood National Historic Site by email at coordinator@chiefswoodnhs.ca or call 519-758-5444.
