Glenhyrst Art Gallery’s annual Family Arts Day will be held on Sunday May 27, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Glenhyrst Gardens (20 Ava Rd. Brantford).
This year, Family Arts Day is also the final event in part of the Brant Museum Crawl, a series of cultural events held at arts and culture organizations throughout the city during May, which has been designated Museum Month by Brantford City Council. This FREE rain or shine family-friendly event is one that’s looked forward to by locals and tourists alike. The beautiful outside grounds at Glenhyrst fill up with 35+ pop-up booths, many of which include community businesses and local non-profit organizations that are geared up to participate. This year’s activities include; canvas painting, clay, looming, duct tape creations, flower planting, oil pastels, chess and more. This year there will also be a children’s book exchange, so feel free to pack a bag of well-loved books and trade them for some new family favourites.
Families will enjoy live performances from the Guitar Society of Brantford members, Avalon Music Academy Students, and food and drink will also be available for sale (including delicious desserts!).
Glenhyrst welcomes families from far and wide to attend their annual Family Arts Day, and encourage you to pack a picnic and blanket, and enjoy this wonderful outdoor spring event.
