Do you love sweet summer strawberries? Then Brantford has the festival for you!
Brantwood Farms presents their very first Strawberry Sundae Weekend
, taking place from Saturday, June 30 to Monday, July 2, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event is a great way to celebrate the long weekend and promote the bountiful harvest of juicy strawberries.
The event will highlight and celebrate all things strawberry. Join us in the berry patch as we have fun picking our own strawberries and enjoy delicious strawberry sundaes made with Brantwood Farm’s homegrown ruby-red strawberries. Strawberry picking is $3/L and sundaes are $5 each.
Admission is free, and visitors are encouraged to say hello to the resident farm animals and have a look around the farm. Pack a picnic and enjoy lunch in a shady spot under an apple tree as the soft summer breeze rolls by.
On your way out, don’t forget to stop in the farm shop, and choose from a variety of delicious, fresh vegetables and produce, freshly baked bread, cookies, pies, dumplings and pastries - all made with seasonal produce. They also carry a variety of locally produced products including jams and jellies, crackers, spices and pickles. Mmm!
About Brantwood Farms:
Since 1891 the Pate Family has lived and farmed in Brant County, and to this day, the farm is still a family run farm. Over time, various aspects of the farm have changed, but their passion and dedication to agriculture remains the same. Their goal is to bring the best in homegrown and locally produced fruits, vegetables and goods to the community. From rhubarb to strawberries, apples, sweet corn and pumpkins, they grow a variety of fruits and vegetables on the home farm. What they do not grow themselves, they source from local growers and producers in the area.
