August 1 - DIY Wooden Sign Workshop (Pre-registration required): Two classes are being offered: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. or 7:15 - 9:15 p.m.  Enjoy step-by-step instructions to create your own unique wooden sign! Click for full details and how to register
August 8 - Nubar Workout: Come get your sweat on with NU-U Fitness and be a part of the Nubar Workout!
August 15 - Take a Seat, Meet a Friend, Plant a Pot: The name says it all! Meet us in Harmony Square to take a seat, meet a friend and plant a pot with the Life Share Program, Community Living Brant. See you there!
August 22 – Yoga Class: Relax after a long day of work, come to the Square to enjoy Yoga with Moksha Yoga!
August 29 – Karate Class: Come kick it with Senshi Martial Arts, for a fun filled Karate class!

August 10 - The Nelson Family Bluegrass Band *Incorporates new and old songs with a soft, easy listening touch appropriate for the whole family! 
August 17 - Fresh Water Funk *Funk, Soul and R&B are their specialty, which includes songs from Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power and James Brown, just to name a few! 
August 24 - Jaylene Cole *Performs cover songs, remixes and originals! 
August 31 - Cory Mercer *Solo acoustic performance with live looping!

Canadian Military Heritage Museum Open House

Come and visit the Canadian Military Heritage Museum to join in their annual open house and the celebration of their 25th anniversary.  There will be demonstrations, displays, re-enactment battles, door prizes, food and much more.  It will be a fun and educational day for the whole family.

Looking for something creative to do this summer with the family?  Enjoy a day of imaginative art and music workshops, live entertainment, vendors and activity centers.  Workshops include painting, mosaic glass art, photography, quilling, needle felting and string art, Celtic harp and drums, ukulele and vocals, and so much more. Workshops prices range from $10 to $15.

The fun kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with a fun contest that challenges participants to build their own inukshuk. Visit the collection of vendors outside to buy or trade in the great rock swap, explore outdoor rock piles, and treat your kids to a wide variety of fun games, including the fishing pond, crafts and grab bags.

Motorcycle Coffee Ride

Admission: $30/bike
Motorcycle Coffee Ride is a fundraiser for Participation Support Services and Canadian Mental Health Association of Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk. All riders register at Starbucks between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Participants will leave Starbucks at 9:30 a.m. and arrive at Participation House Brantford, 10 Bell Lane, at approximately 9:45 a.m. There will be brief greetings and proclamations from Participation House, Canadian Mental Health Association and Brantford’s Official Town Crier, David McKee, and the ride will continue finishing at the Naval Veterans Hall at 54 Wadsworth Street.

Entertaining and thought provoking theatre suitable for ages seven and up.

Join us for the 5th annual Desiree’s Ride. This event is hosted by the non-profit organization, Desiree’s Angels Victims for a New Start, and takes place in 3 different cities across Southern Ontario. They ride in memory of Desiree Gallagher, who was a victim of crime. Their aim is to support victims of crime and their families. All proceeds from this wonderful ride are donated to Victim services and shelters in the participating cities.

32nd Annual New Credit Three Fires Homecoming Pow Wow

There will be drumming, dancing, arts and crafts, a native plant garden, exhibits and First Nations food booths. The Pow Wow is a way for First Nations people to share their unique customs and cultural identity through the heartbeat of the drum, song and way of life.

Community Charity Airshow

Flying Show is from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Admission: Free, donations are greatly appreciated. Proceeds help support the Rotary Club of Brantford and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
This family-friendly event raises funds for local charities while entertaining spectators and showcasing the thrill of military and civilian aviation. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the CF-18 Demonstration Team will perform thrilling aerobatic and breathtaking fly pasts, showcasing the skill, professionalism and teamwork of the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces. Other featured performers include the B-29 Super fortress and the Avro Lancaster which is making its only airshow appearance this season in Brantford.

The 160th Paris Fair has been acknowledged as one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events for Ontario in 2018!  This fair brings people together to celebrate rural life through grandstand entertainment, agricultural displays, craft exhibits, livestock shows, midway rides and more! Visit the grandstand to witness Canada’s #1 Demolition Derby. A signature experience for Brantford and the County of Brant residents, the Paris Fair is “where friends meet”.
