Live theatre. Music productions. Vocal choirs. The performing arts are a vibrant and robust part of the City of Brantford and the County of Brant’s arts and culture community. And with so many active performance groups all working towards the same goal of providing an outlet for creativity and enjoying it, they have found a way to join together to build up their exposure and promote themselves as a whole.
Brant Performing Arts (BPA) formed in 2010 as a collective for the mutual benefit of Brantford and the County of Brant’s local non-profit performing arts organizations to share resources, network, and pursue shared marketing opportunities. The group includes choirs, bands, presenters, theatre groups, storytellers, teachers, and even a symphony orchestra!
The 2018 membership includes:
All members of BPA are non-profit performing arts organizations or support organizations for performing arts in Brantford and the County of Brant. There is an annual $50 membership which is used to cover the cost of collaborative marketing efforts. They meet each month to share ideas, information and discuss performance scheduling to ensure events aren’t double booked.
The BPA’s main marketing piece has been a bookmark produced quarterly that features their individual upcoming performances. These bookmarks are distributed throughout Brantford and the County of Brant through libraries, municipal facilities, book stores and community centres.
If you are interested in learning more about this group, you are invited to attend one of their upcoming meetings as a guest. The next one is Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 1:30 pm at the Brantford Visitor & Tourism Centre. For more information about the BPA or to join the group, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
