New Podcast for Festival & Event Organizers

New Podcast for Festival & Event Organizers

If you are a festival or event organizer, looking to learn more from the movers and shakers in the field, Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO)’s new podcast is a must-download for you. Beginning earlier this year, FEO’s CEO Dave MacNeil and Marketing and Communications Manager, Jay Niijhuis, started this podcast to share their insight, advice, planning techniques and overall strategy with festival and event organizers across Ontario.

The podcast has covered topics such as general liability and director’s insurance; volunteer recruitment, management, recognition and retention; and risk management and emergency preparedness. Guests have included Beth Potter, President and CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO); Michele Bosc, VP of Marketing and Administration at Chateau des Charmes Winery; and Brant Matthews, Guinness World Record holder for eating 101 flaming torches in 60 seconds!

If you’ve listened to the podcast, and there’s still a topic that hasn’t been covered, you can contact Jay Niijhuis via email to request a future topic or guest. His email at Festivals & Events Ontario is jay@festivalsandeventsontario.ca.

The FEO On the Air podcast is available to listen to on Soundcloud, iTunes and Google Music.
