Ontario Creates: New Name. Same Passion.

Ontario Creates: New Name. Same Passion.

The Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) has unveiled their new name and visual identity – Ontario Creates.

Ontario Creates is an agency of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. The organization is the central catalyst for Ontario’s cultural media cluster, including book and magazine publishing, film and television, interactive digital media and music industries. The organization promotes, enhances and leverages investment, jobs and original content creation. They are a catalyst for economic development in Ontario’s creative industries through investment and promotion and by facilitating innovation and collaboration.

The organization has a strong track record for driving growth in creative industries and for providing important tools that allow creative industries to thrive and compete in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Their assistance in the promotion and marketing of Ontario’s cultural media industry helps position our creative industry as a world-class leader.

They are also the administrators of creative industry provincial tax credit programs, including the Ontario Book Publishing Tax Credit; the Ontario Film & Television Tax Credit; and the Ontario Sound Recording Tax Credit. For individuals working in the creative industries, Ontario Creates is a great repository for information about funding, business initiatives, research and industry information.

Tourism Brantford congratulates Ontario Creates on a new era of creative industry leadership!
