Your Guide to Local Christmas Bazaars, Markets and Craft Shows!

Brantford will soon be booming with holiday arts and crafts fairs and open houses, which means it’s the perfect time to cross some names off your shopping list and give the gift of local and handmade. Support your community and come out to one of these local events to learn more about the makers and small business owners in your community. What: Six Nations Holiday Craft Tour
When: Saturday, November 3, 2018
Where: Various Locations
Why: You can purchase unique gifts such as black ash baskets, corn husk dolls, silver jewellery, hand-made moccasins, and beaded fancies! Be sure to arrive early, as vendors often sell out of their handmade crafts. This tour also features the Taste of the Season ‘Food and Preserves Sale’ at Mohawk Chapel.  Click here for more information

What: Wylde Rose Jingle & Mingle
When: Saturday, November 3, 2018
Where: Wylde Rose Handmade Soaps, 10 King George Rd, Unit E, Brantford
Why: If you're a lover of Christmas bazaars, you should definitely stop in at this open house.  Many talented local artisans will have their work displayed for sale in this lovely shop that sells hand-made soaps, including eco-friendly gift ideas like colourable fabrics, custom hand-painted Christmas decorations, matted photography prints, and more!  Click here for more information

What: Brantford Two of a Kind Show
When: Saturday, November 3, 2018
Where: Walter’s Greenhouse, 363 Governor’s Rd E, Paris

What: Brantford Visual Artist’s Guild 16th Annual Show and Sale
When: Thursday, November 8 to Friday, November 9, 2018
Where: Glenhyrst Art Gallery, 20 Ava Road, Brantford
Why: This annual show provides the public with the opportunity to purchase a variety of unique artwork. Don’t miss this wonderful chance to acquire some beautiful pieces, and help support a great cause, as proceeds from a selection of paintings will go towards the Stedman Community Hospice.  Click here for more information

What: Christmas in Paris
When: Friday, November 9 to Sunday, November 11, 2018
Where: Syl Apps Community Centre, 51 William Street, Paris
Why: This year marks the 27th consecutive year for this Christmas bazaar, so it must be good! 27 local artisans come together to display their unique offerings, that range from creating pottery pieces, various sized quilts, fabric art pieces, felted art and wearables, chalk art, mixed media, watercolour, acrylic, and pastel paintings in all shapes and sizes, fused glass, beaded and Swarovski jewellery, gourd art that can sound like “thunder,” soap products, silk scarves, and more! What: The Ultimate Stocking Stuffer Event
When: Saturday, November 10, 2018
Where: The Moose Lodge, 145 West St, Brantford

Why:  This market will feature all handmade, one of a kind artisan wares. There will be 20 vendors, a kid’s craft room, pictures with Santa, live music and treats! Why: There will be 85 of the best artisans & indie crafters… so you’ll probably find some pretty cool stuff! All Canadian Events is hosting this Christmas Market, and you may remember some of their previous events from earlier this year which included The Great Canadian Buttertart festival and the Paris Night Market – both of which were hugely successful. What: Brantford Potters’ Guild Christmas Sale
When: Friday, November 30 to Sunday, December 2, 2018
Where: Woodman Park Community Centre, 491 Grey Street, Brantford
