December Sport Networking Meeting Recap

December Sport Networking Meeting Recap

Welcome and Thank You

Donna Clements MC’d the last Sport Networking Meeting of 2018 on Thursday, December 13th at Galaxy Cinemas Brantford. Thank you to Galaxy Cinemas for generously hosting this networking meeting and providing us with a delicious lunch from Subway and freshly popped popcorn! We were most appreciative.

The meeting centred on a presentation by power duo Lucas and Laura Duguid, owners of Octopus Red. Octopus Red is a local Branford business specializing in design, web, marketing and advertising. Their presentation focused on the power of social media and how its effective use can help you to achieve your business goals.  Lucas also encourages businesses to reach out to the media to help promote their events, because most of the time you think people are aware of your event, but in fact, they are not. By advertising locally, you’re able to reach a much larger audience.  For our helpful list of where you can advertise your local events, please click here.

Another tip was to provide consistent and engaging content.  If you’re posting engaging content, people will be engaged, and your following will grow. For more information on Octopus Red, you can visit them on a few different platforms:
