Our Kitchen is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Steve and Catherine Ferrar, and their hardworking team includes their daughter, Caity, and Roxanne Girdlestone, both as Kitchen Managers. It offers commercial kitchen rental memberships for businesses at any level. With an environment that feels like your home kitchen, Our Kitchen is accessible 24-hours a day for members, security monitored and offers discounted after hours rate from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Our Kitchen comes complete with a 12-burner stove, griddle, two ovens, a double convection oven, hi and lo temperature dishwashers, proofer, 30 quart mixer, steamer, 2 triple sinks, walk-in cooler and freezer, dry storage units, small wares and 7 prep tables—including a vegan friendly station. The commercial kitchen also has an Events Kitchen (fully certified) for anyone interested in hosting a large family dinner, cooking classes, business meeting, etc. to rent at an affordable rate. The room comes fully equipped with a Smart TV with inputs, two large dining tables, three ovens, induction stove top, dishes, small wares and other appliances to use, in addition to WiFi.
"The Jelly Girls [Catherine Ferrar's small business] needed a facility to grow and work out of. It turned into something bigger when we realized the need for a commercial kitchen in this area. Brantford is starting to boom with people following their passions and starting small businesses of their own. We wanted to create a supportive community of people living their dreams and share our love for food," said Caity Ferrar, Kitchen Manager & Special Events Coordinator.
Visit Our Kitchen (20 Roy Blvd.) on Saturday mornings for their Pop-Up Market from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and meet their members, which include bakers, caterers, a vegan cook, and more. Hot coffee will be ready and a variety of goods are available for purchase. Our Kitchen encourages everyone to come by for a tour of their facility, and enjoy a cookie and a coffee. Likewise, Caity adds, “We are looking for new members and are open to partnering with charities, non-profit organizations and groups to help give back to our community.”

Also coming soon will be a take-out lunch that will be made by the Ferrar family and their members. With an ever-changing menu and new items added every week, Our Kitchen is an exciting addition to the Brantford culinary scene.
