‘Explore the Grand’ with Brantford, County of Brant and Six Nations of the Grand River Annual Visitor Guide!

‘Explore the Grand’ with Brantford, County of Brant and Six Nations of the Grand River Annual Visitor Guide!

The City of Brantford Economic Development and Tourism Department, County of Brant Tourism and Six Nations Tourism are excited to announce the arrival of the 2019/2020 annual ‘Explore the Grand’ visitor guide. The 24-page magazine-style digest highlights key attractions and experiences throughout the area and celebrates the updated companion microsite, ExploretheGrand.com.

The annual guide features beautiful images of more than 50 local advertisers promoting cultural attractions in the area, places to dine out and shop, festivals and events, outdoor adventures, and much more. In response to feedback from the project’s advertisers, the guide is now a more convenient digest size and small enough to fit in most purses or to fold and put in your back pocket. New this year is an 8.5” x 22” foldout map, highlighting the area’s accommodations and points of interest. Pull the map out or download and print the PDF from ExploretheGrand.com to take with you on an upcoming hike or bike ride through our communities.

“Explore the Grand is a unifying project that highlights the geographical asset that joins our three communities: the Grand River. With so many unique attractions and experiences available in each community, it is important to us to create a borderless experience for the visitor,” said Nicole Drake, Manager of Tourism, Culture & Sport for the City of Brantford.

The fun, engaging, brightly-coloured guide features section headlines that double as popular hashtags used on social media platforms, including: #FoodieFaves, #GetOutside, #RetailTherapy, #CraftBrew, #CultureConnects, #LiveJams, #FarmFresh, #SpaDay and #FunDay. These categories speak to the wide range and diverse nature of the product offerings in our communities and the digital platforms in which they are often discussed.

“Six Nations of the Grand River truly is a place to see with the revitalization of Chiefswood Park and programming that reflects our Haudenosaunee culture through the historical and cultural sites along the Grand River. Visitors can gain a greater understanding of our community through the exploration of our contemporary arts scene,

all while taking in all the unique artisanal shopping,” said Janis Monture, Director of Tourism & Cultural Initiatives for Six Nations Tourism.

In total, 40,000 copies of Explore the Grand have been printed and will soon be available in high-traffic areas such as hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions throughout Brantford, the County of Brant and Six Nations of the Grand River. Brantford Expositor subscribers will receive a copy of the guide right to their door, and all other interested local residents are encouraged to pick up a copy at the Brantford Visitor and Tourism Centre, County of Brant Tourism or Six Nations Tourism offices.

“Brant Tourism is proud to be able to showcase what Brant has become known for: premier outdoor facilities and activities both on and off the Grand and Nith rivers, a deeply rich and growing arts and culture menu including a burgeoning live music scene, creative arts events, provincially recognized special events, one of a kind heritage destinations, and, of course, our award-winning dining and boutique shopping experiences. Together, these destinations truly do provide so many #GoodTimesinBrant,” said Russell Press, Director of Economic Development & Tourism for the County of Brant.

The Explore the Grand e-brochure can be viewed online at www.explorethegrand.com. The website features additional special offers and coupons to various attractions throughout the area.
