The Zoo is Open for the Season!

The Zoo is Open for the Season!

Since it’s inception in 1991, the goal of the Brantford Twin Valley Zoo has been to provide a place for families to enjoy the outdoors in a quiet and clean environment.

There’s no better way to learn about the wonderful animals of this world than to experience them up close and in person. Built on 25 beautiful acres, Brantford Twin Valley Zoo is a great place to observe a collection of native and exotic animals maintained in natural surroundings.

The Brantford Twin Valley Zoo is home to: lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!) in addition to monkeys, exotic birds, goats, zebras, and much more. If your little ones are tired of walking, take a break under a tree in the shaded areas or let your children explore the Kids Play Area, with slides and fun play equipment for kids 5 years of age and under. Kids will also enjoy feeding and petting the friendly Pygmy Goats, located near the main entrance.

During observation of the wide assortment of animals at the Zoo, children can learn about the animals’ adaptations (like the stripes on a zebra), needs (type of food they eat), and characteristics (fur or feathers). Educational presentations let children experience some smaller animals and babies up-close. The knowledgeable Zoo staff explains how certain animals change as they grow, their natural habitats, and why they are important to that habitat.

Spend a few hours at the Zoo, or bring a lunch and stay for the full day. There are several picnic areas around the zoo for families who want to enjoy their lunch, while watching the animals. Pop, water and other snack items are available for purchase at the Gift Shop.

The Brantford Twin Valley Zoo is open daily from April 27th to September 6, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Once school starts, the Zoo's fall hours kick in and will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday until the Zoo's closing on October 27, 2019.

Visit the Brantford Twin Valley Zoo website to plan your trip, and for information regarding admission prices.
