Ready to make the return to the ice, Hockey Night in Brantford is back on August 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. This amazing charity event benefits the Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre (65 Sky Acres Dr., Brantford), with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity.
The Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre provides meaningful educational opportunities to adults with developmental disabilities. Through the variety of unique programs offered, participants build self-confidence, participate in social inclusion, gain experience and challenge themselves to build the skills necessary to function as informed citizens in society.
The game takes place at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre on Rink 1. Tickets are being sold at the Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre as well as the Brantford-Brant Member of Parliament Phil McColeman’s office at 108 St. George Street Suite 3 in Brantford. The Game will feature many great players with ties to Brantford, including NHL players: Adam Henrique, Zac Dalpe and Brandon Montour, showcasing the rich hockey history in our city.
This event was created with the intent of helping those in need in our community through the love of hockey. And, along with a stellar showcase of hockey there will be three great prizes available for raffle, including: a trip for two anywhere Air Canada flies, a trip for two anywhere WestJet flies or two tickets to a Toronto Raptors game with accommodations for a one night’s stay in Toronto included. Raffle tickets will be $10 each. A live and silent auction will also be held the night before the big game at the Brantford Golf & Country Club. Sports memorabilia, including a signed Sydney Crosby jersey, will be among many items up for auction.
