September is World Alzheimer’s Month and Tourism Brantford is partnering up with the Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton to host a Coffee Break right here at the Brantford Visitor & Tourism Centre (399 Wayne Gretzky Parkway) on Tuesday, September 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Now in its 24th year, Coffee Break is an annual campaign run by the Alzheimer Society in Brantford and the County of Brant to help raise funds to support those living with dementia-related diseases in our local community. As a non-profit organization, the Alzheimer Society focuses the majority of their time and effort into providing multiple programs and services for people living with the disease as well as their caregivers. The funds raised throughout the Coffee Break campaign helps to keep them running.
Participating in our Coffee Break is easy! All you have to do is visit us at the Brantford Visitor & Tourism Centre sometime in the morning on September 10 and make a donation of $1 or more in exchange for a hot cup of coffee and a local treat. Tourism staff will be present to chat with, so don’t be shy…come on in and meet our team and support a worthy cause at the same time!
Visit the Alzheimer Society website for more information.
Please contact Tourism Brantford for further event details.
