Brantford’s Official Town Crier, David McKee, is on his way to compete at the Central Otago World Town Crier Tournament in New Zealand. McKee left the Brantford Visitor and Tourism Centre this morning for the Toronto Pearson International Airport where his flight departed this afternoon.

The Brantford International Buskers Festival invites the community and tourists to be amazed and mesmerized by internationally-renowned street performers and musicians. Planning is still underway, but a gala opening will be happening on Friday night; programming for all ages will be offered on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Food, drink and other vendors will be on-site, and buskers as well as the sounds of live music will fill Harmony Square all weekend.
