The location of Jubilee Terrace Park, overlooking the water's edge of the Grand River, is an area rich in local history. It is nearby to where Joseph Brant forded the river, with the Mohawk Nation in 1784, to settle nearby. It is also the location where John Stalts, the first known settler at Brant's Ford, built his log cabin in 1805.
