Lavallee has lived in Brantford most of her life, and is appreciative of a community that understands and practices shopping local as it “gives my business a fair chance to thrive,” she says.

The Artists of Brantf[e]rd is an online documentary series that features mini-documentaries about artists from Brantford, the County of Brant, and Six Nations.

November’s Featured Artist is Dave Hind. For the past two decades, Brantford-based artist Hind has been using recycled, salvaged, and found materials to create functional objects, musical instruments, sculptures, aluminum paintings, and small shelters.

Whether you’re a budding artist, or you’re someone who maintains that they simply “can’t draw”, a club in town will guide you to creating your own masterpiece. No artistic experience is necessary to join in on events offered by PAINT-CLUB, a small mobile company that offers 2-hour guided painting sessions throughout Brantford and its surrounding areas. Paint Club can also be hired for private parties and corporate events, like team-building exercises.
